Opening of Dr. Anna Littlefield Exhibit in the Scythevllle House
Presentation: “A Great Woman of Art, Science, and Determination”
Dr. Littlefield was New Hampshire’s first licensed woman physician (1895). She was a botanical artist, gardener, educator (taught at Colby Academy), and one of the founders of both the New London Hospital and the New London Garden Club. She practiced medicine in New London from 1895 to circa 1950. After a short program about her life, we will have the formal opening of her office in the Scytheville house. Refreshments served.
