SUMMARY:Celebrate the 25th anniversary of the rebuilding of the Corbin Covered Bridge
DESCRIPTION:On October 12\, 2019\, Columbus Day Weekend\, Newport NH will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the rebuilding of the Corbin Covered Bridge in 1994. \nThe bridge had been burned by an arsonist in May 1993 and through negotiations\, meetings\, research and hard work\, the historic bridge was replicated in both style and means of construction. \nThe October 1994 Covered Bridge Festival saw 9000 people come from all over New England to witness two teams of oxen pulling the bridge into place\, inch by inch. \nNow\, twenty-five years later\, the Newport Historical Society and the Corbin Bridge 25th Anniversary committee invite you to a celebration like the one in 1994. \nMore than 25 events are currently planned throughout the day of Saturday\, Oct 12\, 2019\, with more to be added in the coming months. \nThe event will include historical and cultural activities\, fun\, food\, demonstration\, hands on experiences\, a heritage parade through the bridge\, and photo opportunities. \n\n\n	Related
