SUMMARY:71st Annual Warner Fall Foliage Festival
DESCRIPTION:The 71st Annual Warner Fall Foliage Festival is scheduled during the upcoming Columbus Day Weekend. The festival begins on Friday\, October 5\, when the midway opens from 6 to 9 PM. The DoBros\, a local folkgrass/rock band\, are scheduled to play on the MainStreet Warner Stage from 7:30 to 10 PM. There will be numerous activities and entertainment throughout downtown on Saturday\, October 6\, from 9 AM to 9 PM\, and Sunday\, October 7\, from 9 AM to 5 PM. Parking is $5 and will be at the west end of town\, with free shuttle bus service to and from the festival. \nThe festival’s center will be located downtown Warner around Main Street\, and there will be easy access to the midway\, food tents and outdoors picnicking. As always\, there will be crafters\, a farmers market\, rides\, food\, parades\, road races\, raffles\, music\, country breakfasts and dinners…and much more. \nA renovated location behind The Foothills restaurant will host an Oxen Pull competition on Saturday starting at 9:30 AM. In this same location\, our very popular Woodsmen competition begins on Sunday at 11 AM. \nThe festival is organized by hundreds of local volunteers. All proceeds from the festival go directly back into the community to support the growth and enrichment of local culture\, music\, art\, sports\, town and school programs\, parks and facilities. \nEvent date\n2018-10-05

DESCRIPTION:The SRK Greenway is pleased to offer hikes this Summer on a variety of trails designed to appeal to a wide range of hikers. Be sure to contact the trip leader at least a day in advance to get the details concerning time and place to meet\, possible car drops\, and weather considerations. Always dress in layers\, bring a snack and plenty of water. \nJune 29 (Sat) Join the SRK Greenway Trail Crew for a fun day in the woods of Springfield. Hoping to tackle the Webster Pass Trail between Route 114 in Springfield and Pleasant Lake in New London. There was significant logging in this area earlier this year and the trail needs to be re-established.  For more information contact Andy Hager at 526-2846.

DESCRIPTION:Catch the high flying Team East Freestyle team airing it out in front of the Mount Sunapee Adventure Park! Check out their first show at 11:00am\, then you can head up the chairlift with your own bike to do some downhill shredding of your own! The second show starts at 2:00pm and we’ll have a special visit from the Kona Ice Truck from 2:00-4:00. Both freestyle shows last 30-40 minutes are free admission (standard trail pass rates apply for riding in the Bike Park).

We are excited to have Last Kid Picked (LKP)\, considered one of New England’s best cover bands\, LKP started in 1997 and has continued through the years to provide the Northeast with music to have fun\, dance and laugh to. All of these fun events will lead up to the spectacular fireworks show at 9:30 PM to conclude the evening. \nThis year’s fireworks display is presented by McGee Toyota of Claremont. To help continue the popular July 4th celebration in future years\, Claremont Parks & Rec will be asking for a $1 donation at the entrance of Monadnock Park. Your support is greatly appreciated to help continue this tradition; donations for the fireworks fund can also be sent to or dropped off at the Claremont Savings Bank Community Center\, 152 South St.\, Claremont\, NH 03743\, during business hours. \nParking spaces will be available along Broad Street and Pleasant Street. Only handicapped and authorized vendor parking will be allowed at Monadnock Park. In the event of inclement weather\, the rain date for this event will be on July 5th.
