DESCRIPTION:Pick up near the end of Sooze’s hike (9/23) when Anne Hewitt leads a hike starting on Rte 4A in Wilmot. This route takes you east up and over Bog Mountain and ends up in Wilmot Center. \nThis is a moderate 4.5 mile hike with some significant changes in elevation. It should take 3-4 hours. SUMMARY:Opening of New Hiking Trail in Unity
DESCRIPTION:Sullivan County is opening a hiking trail this fall. The County is seeking the public’s help in the naming of the four-mile trail. The trail will open this October and connect the County Farm to Unity Mountain and Marshall Pond.  The trail that starts near the Sullivan County Health Care parking lot and ends at Mica Mine Rd has been under construction this past summer. \nA Grand Opening is scheduled for Oct 7th and entries for the Trail’s name must be in by September 22nd.  Anyone interested in voting for one of the three names or offering one of their own is invited to use the Survey Monkey link to participate at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/D7R38S7
